Denys Wiktorowytsch Issajenko ( Ukrainian Денис Вікторович Ісаєнко , Russian Денис Викторович Исаенко Denis Viktorovich Issajenko * 17th March 1980 in Kharkiv , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Ukrainian hockey player , who has been in January 2016 at HK Kremenchuk in the Ukrainian Hockey League is under contract.
Career
Denys Issajenko began his career as a hockey player in his hometown of Kharkiv , where he played for a youth team. In 1998/99 he played for the second team of Lokomotive Yaroslavl in the Wysschaja Liga , the second highest Russian ice hockey league . He then returned from central Russia to Ukraine, where he was on the ice for HK Berkut Kiev . With the capital club he won the East European Hockey League in 2000 and 2001 and the Ukrainian championship in 2002 . After these successes he was drawn to the HK Homel in Belarus. With his new club, he became Belarusian champion in 2003 and won the Belarusian cup competition in 2003 and 2004 . He then returned to Kiev, where he was now active for HK Sokil . With Sokil he was not only able to win his second and third Ukrainian national championship in 2005 and 2006, but also continued to play in the Belarusian extra league . In the middle of the 2006/07 season, however, he returned to Homel and was able to win the Belarusian national cup for the third time with the local HK. After this interlude, he played again for Sokil Kiev from 2008 and won the Ukrainian title again with the club in 2009 and 2010. When a full professional league was founded in the Ukraine in 2011 with the Professional Hockey League , he moved to HK Berkut in Brovary , which started in this class. When Berkut had to cancel his professional team for financial reasons in 2013, he went to HK Kompanjon-Naftohas Kiev with whom he became Ukrainian champion in 2014. He started the 2015/16 season with HK Generals Kiew but moved to HK Kremenchuk in January 2016 , for whom he has played since then.
International
Issajenko first came to the U20 World Cup in 2000 for his home country when he had to accept relegation from the A group with the Ukrainians.
For the senior national team of Ukraine , the defender played in the top division at the 2005 , 2006 and 2007 World Cups . In Division I, he has played the World Championships in 2010 , when he had the best plus / minus balance of the tournament, in 2011 , 2012 , 2014 , 2016 and 2017 . He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournaments for the Olympic Winter Games in Turin in 2006 and in Pyeongchang in 2018 .
