Peter Lorentzen (born September 2, 1983 in Fredrikstad ) is a Norwegian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Stavanger Oilers in the GET league since 2009 .

Career

Peter Lorentzen began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth division of Stjernen Hockey , for whose professional team he made his GET-league debut in the 2000/01 season , preparing a goal in 21 games. The attacker then spent two years with the Tri-City Americans in the Canadian Junior Western Hockey League , before returning to Europe for the 2003/04 season, where he received a contract with Järfälla HC from Division 1 , the third Swedish division. After he had started the 2004/05 season at Uppsala Hockey in the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan , he was committed during the season by IK Comet from Norway, for which he was on the ice in the following two and a half years.

In the summer of 2007 Lorentzen signed with the Swedish second division club Rögle BK , with whom he immediately succeeded in advancing to the Elitserien , in which he scored four goals in 51 games in the 2008/09 season and gave three assists. He then left the club again and moved to the Stavanger Oilers in his Norwegian homeland for the following season . With his new club he was first Norwegian champion in 2010 and runner-up in 2011.

International

For Norway , Lorentzen took part in the junior division in the U18 Junior B World Championship 2000 , the U18 Junior A World Championship in 2001 and the U20 Junior B World Championship in 2002 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the A World Championships in 2009 , 2010 and 2011 as well as qualifying for the 2010 Winter Olympics .
