Rögle BK is a Swedish ice hockey club from Ängelholm that has been playing in the top Swedish league, the Svenska Hockeyligan , again since 2015 .
history
The club was founded in 1932 as a bandy team, the ice hockey department was launched in the 1950s. In 1966 the ice hockey team rose for the first time to the Allsvenskan, the top division of Sweden at the time, and belonged to this division for three years. In the 1991/92 season, the team again made the leap into the highest Swedish ice hockey league, now the Elitserien , where it could remain until 1996, but then relegated to the HockeyAllsvenskan in the Kvalserien . In 2008, the team reached the Kvalserien as one of the four best teams of HockeyAllsvenskan, in which they finally got a starting place for the 2008/09 Elitserien season .
In 2010, the club rose again to the second division, before a renewed promotion to the highest league level took place in the 2012/13 season, but it was not possible to keep the division.
