Daniel Glimmenvall (born September 10, 1974 in Glimåkra as Daniel Johansson ) is a Swedish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Rögle BK in the Swedish Elitserien since 2008 . In 2009, Glimmenvall changed his last name from Johansson to the current one.

Career

The 1.82 m tall defender began his career in the youth of Rögle BK , for whom he was also on the ice in the Elitserien from the 1992/93 season . In 1995 the right-shooter moved to the reigning Swedish champions HV 71 Jönköping , where he played the following four series. After a year-long engagement with Pelicans Lahti in the Finnish SM-liiga , Johansson signed a contract with the Swedish first division club Brynäs IF , for which he laced up his skates until the beginning of 2008.

On January 25, 2008 Daniel Johansson moved to the German ice hockey champion Adler Mannheim, who occupied their last free foreign license with him. However, his contract was only valid until the end of the 2007/08 season and was not extended, so the Swede returned to his youth club Rögle BK.

International

For the Swedish junior national team , Daniel Johansson played both the U18 European Junior Championship in 1992 and the Junior World Championships in 1993 and 1994 . In 18 competitive games he scored a total of five goals and seven assists .
