Glimåkra is a place ( Tatort ) in the province of Skåne län and the historical province of Skåne . The place in the municipality of Östra Göinge was created along the Kristianstad-Immeln railway line, which was extended to Glimåkra in 1886. Today the railroad no longer plays a role for the place, since passenger traffic in 1969 and goods traffic in 1978 were discontinued.

Until 1974 the place formed its own municipality, before this was merged into today's municipality of Östra Göinge. Before the formation of Skåne län, Glimåkra belonged to what was then Kristianstads län .
