Kristianstads Lan
Kristianstads län was a Swedish province ( län ) . Most of it was in northeast Skåne . The capital of the province was Kristianstad and the letter "L".
geography
In the north the province bordered on Hallands län and Kronobergs län , in the east it was bounded by Blekinge län and the Baltic Sea , which made up the southern border. Malmöhus län formed the border in the southwest and the Kattegat in the west . In 1911 the province had an area of 6,445 km². In the course of the Scandinavian land uplift on the one hand and land erosion on the other, the area was constantly exposed to changes.
history
After the conquest of Skåne by Sweden, the province was formed for the first time in 1669. Already in 1680 it was merged with Malmöhus län to form a common government , which was dissolved again in 1719. Since this year there have been no more administrative border changes in relation to other provinces. In 1997 Kristianstads län and Malmöhus län were merged again to form the common province of Skåne län . This classification still applies today (2019).
