List of perpetrators in Skåne County |
Ängelholm is the capital of the municipality Ängelholm in the southern Swedish province of Skåne län or the historical province of Skåne .
Since 2015, the place of the crime has been called Ängelholm och Vejbystrand, after it had actually merged with the towns of Skepparkroken and Vejbystrand, which adjoin the coast of the Kattegat in a north-westerly direction . At the same time, on the other hand , the district Ängelholm strand, located a little separately south of the mouth of the Rönne å , was designated as an independent crime scene. The crime scene Ängelholm och Vejbystrand is partly on the territory of the northern neighboring municipality of Båstad (331 inhabitants on an area of 103 hectares , 2015).
history
The settlement emerged as Rynestad and was initially closer to the Kattegat. In 1516 it was granted city rights by the Danish King Christian II . The name Rynestad referred to the location on the Rönne å river. Rynestad was later abandoned - probably due to moving sand dunes - and re-established further inland.
Ängelholm was a small town for a long time. The drifting sand was still a problem for the place, which Linnaeus also noted in the description of his trip to Scania. In the 19th century, a protective forest of pine and birch was therefore created, today's Kronoskogen. Today the forest and the railway line form a barrier between the town and the sea. With the general industrialization, the city began to grow and became important as a training and bathing resort. Important branches of industry were initially food processing, dairies and brickworks.
During the Second World War , the airfield expanded north of the city and Ängelholm became a garrison town for the Skånska flygflottilj (F 10) of the Air Force . In 2003 the squadron was disbanded. The airport has since been used as the Ängelholm-Helsingborg passenger airport and offers connections with Stockholm as well as charter flights.
Ängelholm has Kamen in North Rhine-Westphalia as a twin town.

The place is the seat of the automobile manufacturer Koenigsegg .
