The Örebro HK is an established in 1990 the Swedish ice hockey club from Örebro . The team plays in the Svenska Hockeyligan and plays their home games in the Behrn Arena .
history
The club was founded in 1990 as HC Örebro 90 . The aim of the newly founded club was to enable players who had no place in the team of the more attractive Örebro IK to continue playing ice hockey in Örebro . After Örebro IK went bankrupt in 1999, a large number of players switched to HC Örebro 90 . Including Henrik Löwdahl , who still wears the club's jersey today. In the same year the team rose to Division 1 , the third highest ice hockey league in the country. Only two seasons later succeeded the next promotion to the Allsvenskan . After three seasons in the second highest division, he was relegated back to Division 1. In 2005, the name was changed to Örebro HK ( Örebro Hockeyklubb ), which is still in existence today. From 2009 to 2013, the team returned to the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan. After you missed the promotion in the 2011/12 season , although you were the group winner, this could be secured one season later. Despite a disappointing sixth place after the main round, the ascent was made perfect in the Kvalserien . In the 2013/14 season , relegation was secured in the Kvalserien, after rank 11 in the preliminary round.
