The Behrn Arena is an ice rink in the Swedish town of Örebro , province County Örebro . The hall is the venue for the home games of the ice hockey club Örebro HK from the highest Swedish league, the Svenska Hockeyligan . The namesake is the local real estate company Behrn fastigheter , which secured name sponsor for an annual amount of SEK one million for at least 15 years in September 2008 .

history

With 6,540 spectators, the record for an ice hockey game in the Behrn Arena was set in 1966. A year later, The Rolling Stones performed two concerts in the hall. Until 2010 the hall had a capacity of 4,400 spectators (1,700 of which were seated), after the renovation in 2011 and 2012, up to 5,200 spectators could attend the home games of Örebro HK . The ice rink was sold out for the first time on March 26, 2013 during a game in the Kvalserien against Södertälje SK . Before the 2015/16 season, the arena was increased by 300 seats and now has a capacity of 5,500 spectators. There are ten stalls u. a. with sausage, coffee and sweets. There are also restaurants and bars. There are 53 toilets available. The Behrn Arena offers 17 wheelchair-accessible spaces.
