Olle Sildre (born January 7, 1973 in Tallinn , Estonian SSR ) is a former Estonian ice hockey player and today's coach, who played for various clubs in Estonia and Finland, but was also under contract for two years at HK Spartak Moscow in the top Russian division . He has been a coach at HC Panter Tallinn since 2011 .

Career

Olle Sildre began his career at TVMK Tallinn in his native city during the Soviet era . In the 1990/91 season he played for the LNSK Narva for the first time in the Meistriliiga . In the following years he played for various clubs in Estonia and Finland, where he was mostly active in the lower class. From 1995 to 1997 he played for HK Spartak Moscow in the top Russian league. In 2004 he became Estonian champions with HC Panter Tallinn , for whom he played for the first time from 2001 to 2006 . A success that he was able to repeat in 2008 with Tartu Kalev-Välk . After he ended his professional career after his second stint with the Panthers (2011-2013), he helped out again in 2014/15 for a few games at the lower class HC Magic Wings.

International

With the Estonian national team , Sildre first played at the C2 World Championship in 1994 , the C World Championship in 1997 and the B World Championship in 1999 and 2000 . After switching to the current division system, he took part in the 2008 World Championships in Division I and in the title fights in Division II in 2002 , 2009 and 2010 . He also represented his colors in qualifying for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver .

Coaching career

After Sildre had already been player -coach at Tartu Kalev-Välk in 2009/10 , he took over the same position with the Panthers there on his return to Tallinn . Even after retiring from active sport, he continues to work for HC Panter. He has been the club's head coach in the Meistriliiga since 2014 , after having been general manager the year before.

At the U20 World Championships in 2008 , 2012 , 2013 and 2016, he was the assistant coach of the Estonian junior team in Division II. When the team played in Division I at the U20 World Cup in 2009 , he acted as its head coach.
