The Junkkarit Hockey Team Kalajoki is a Finnish ice hockey club from Kalajoki founded in 1992 . The team plays in the Suomi-sarja and plays their home games in the Kalajoen jäähalli .

history

The association was founded in 1992. In the 1992/93 season , the team first took part in the I-divisioona , the then still second Finnish division, in which they could hold up to the 1995/96 season . In the 2000/01 season , the team took part in the third-rate Suomi-sarja for the first time. In the following season , however, the team rose again to the fourth class II-divisioona. Since the 2006/07 season , JHT Kalajoki has been competing in the Suomi-sarja again.
