S-Kiekko is a Finnish ice hockey club from Seinäjoki founded in 1979 . The team plays in Suomi-sarja and plays their home games in Seinäjoen jäähalli 2 .

history

The association was founded in 1979 under the name S-Kiekko. In the 2001/02 season , the men's team was promoted to Suomi-sarja , the third Finnish division, for the first time . In the 2004/05 season , the team won the championship title of Suomi-sarja, but then missed promotion to the second-class Mestis in relegation . With the exception of the 2006/07 season , the team has since played continuously in the Suomi-sarja. In 2008 the club returned to its original name S-Kiekko.
