Michael Akasius Toppo (born May 8, 1955 in Gormara , Assam , India ) is Bishop of Tezpur .
Life
Michael Akasius Toppo received on 26 January 1986, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On December 3, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the bishop of Tezpur. The Apostolic Nuncio in India, Archbishop Pedro López Quintana , donated him episcopal ordination on March 2, 2008 ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Guwahati , Thomas Menamparampil SDB , and the Bishop Emeritus of Tezpur, Robert Kerketta SDB.
