Michele Strazzabosco (born February 6, 1976 in Asiago ) is a former Italian ice hockey player who was under contract for most of his career with Asiago Hockey in the Italian A1 series .

Career

Michele Strazzabosco began his career as an ice hockey player in his birthplace at HC Asiago . There he played for eleven seasons and won the Italian championship title in 2001 , the Coppa Italia in the same year and in 2002 and the Supercoppa in 2003 . In 2005 he moved to HC Milano Vipers , where he signed a two-year contract and was able to win both the Italian championship and the Supercoppa in 2006. Since this club withdrew to Serie A2 before the 2008/09 season and thus no longer provided a Serie A1 team, Michele Strazzabosco moved to SG Cortina , where he stayed for a year.

In the summer of 2009 he returned to his hometown club HC Asiago and developed there into one of the team's leading players. In 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2015 he was able to win the Italian championship again with the team from Veneto , and in 2013 he also succeeded in the Supercoppa.

International

For Italy, Michele Strazzabosco took part in the U18 European Junior Championship and the U20 B World Championships in 1993 . In 1994 he played again in the U18 European Championship and the U20 B World Championship . The following year he was in the Italian squad for the U20 B World Cup .

He was also in Italy's squad at the A-World Championships in 1999 and 2000 . After switching to the current division system, he played in 2001 , 2002 , 2006 , 2007 , 2008 and 2010 in the top division and 2003 , 2004 , 2005 and 2009 in division I. He also represented Italy at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin and at the qualifiers for the 2002 Salt Lake City and 2010 Vancouver Games .
