The 19th U-20 World Junior Championships took place this year at the following times and locations:
Junior A World Championship: December 26, 1994 to January 4, 1995 in Red Deer ( Canada )
Junior B World Championship: December 27, 1994 to January 5, 1995 in Rouen , Caen , Le Havre , Louviers ( France )
Junior C1 World Championship: December 29, 1994 to January 3, 1995 in Puigcerdà ( Spain )
Junior C2 World Championship: December 31, 1994 to January 6, 1995 in Tallinn ( Estonia ).
The qualification tournament for the C1 group was held from September 3rd to 5th, 1994 in Minsk , Belarus .
A total of 30 teams registered for this Junior World Championship. In order to cope with the onslaught, a C2 group has now also been set up in the junior area. Since the eighth of the C-WM should be replaced by a qualifier according to the regulations of the previous year, a qualification was held again this year. The teams in positions 3 to 5 of the qualification for the C-WM 1994 took part in it. The winner of this qualification was qualified for the C1 group, the losers had to play in the C2 group. They met the newcomers to the World Cup as well as the teams that had finished 6th and 7th in the qualification of the previous year . In addition, from the following year, the A-group should be increased from eight to ten teams; so there were no relegations this year, with two promoters. Canada celebrated its eighth world title in front of a home crowd .
