The 16th ice hockey world championships of the U18 juniors of the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF were the ice hockey world championships of 2014 in the age group of under-eighteen year olds (U18). Between February 13 and April 27, 2014, a total of 43 national teams took part in the seven tournaments of the top division and divisions I to III.
For the eighth time, the US team won the world championship, defeating the Czech Republic 5-2 in the final. It was the best placement of a Czech selection at a U18 World Cup. Last year's world champion Canada took third place. The German team was able to prevent the move to Group A of Division I with two narrow wins in the relegation round over Denmark and took ninth place, while the Swiss U18 selection finished the tournament in seventh place. Austria reached second place in Group B of Division I and ended up in 18th place in the World Cup tournament.
