Gauthier Descloux (born July 23, 1996 in Freiburg im Üechtland ) is a Swiss ice hockey goalkeeper who has played again for the Genève-Servette HC in the National League since December 2017 .

Career

Descloux, a nephew of Antoine Descloux , received his basic ice hockey training first at Friborg-Gottéron , then he played in the youth department of Lausanne HC and in Vallorbe, Villars, Sierre and Visp.

In 2012 he went to Genève-Servette HC and made his debut in the National League A (NLA) in the 2014/15 season . Until 2016, in addition to his missions for the Geneva youth and a few minutes of play in the NLA, he was temporarily on loan for the second division clubs HC Red Ice and HC Ajoie . With Ajoie he won the championship title in the National League B in 2016 .

In the 2016/17 season he was loaned to NLA competitor HC Ambrì-Piotta from Geneva and returned to Servette in December 2017.

International

In autumn 2018 he received his first appointment to the senior national team in the run-up to the Deutschland Cup .
