Jeremy Wick (born June 13, 1989 in Grand Valley , Ontario ) is a Canadian - Swiss ice hockey player . He is a citizen of both countries. Wick measures 1.78 meters and is mostly used as a right winger . He is under contract with Genève-Servette HC in the National League .
Player career
Wick was born in Ontario to a Swiss woman from Rapperswil and a Canadian whose parents were Swiss . After school at the Westside Secondary School in Orangeville , where he played football and rugby in addition to ice hockey, he worked for the Raiders from Georgetown . In 2010 he moved to St. Lawrence University in the US state of New York . In his fourth and final season for the "Saints", Wick scored a total of 17 goals in 38 appearances in 2013/14 and prepared 18 more goals.
After the end of his university days, Wick was signed by Genève-Servette HC from the National League A in April 2014 ; he had never played for a club in Switzerland before. In his first season as a professional, Wick not only played for Genève-Servette, but also gained match experience in the HC Red Ice jersey in the National League B thanks to a loan agreement . In May 2016, he received a contract extension at Genève-Servette until the end of the 2019/20 season.
National team
In October 2016, Wick was appointed to the Swiss senior national team for the first time .
