Dominik Diem (born January 25, 1997 in Zurich ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who has been under contract with the ZSC Lions in the National League since the 2019/20 season .
Career
Diem spent all of his junior years in the GCK Lions and Zürcher SC , where he played for the elite juniors in the highest Swiss junior league from the 2012/13 season. In the 2014/15 season , the first appearance in the Fanion team in the National League B followed . In the same season , the first assignment in the highest league in Switzerland, the National League A , followed for the ZSC Lions . In the NLA he could not fix himself, instead he played most of the time in the NLB. For the 2017/18 season he switched to EHC Biel , where he made his breakthrough in the top division. In November 2018 he decided to return to his home club for the 2019/20 season.
International
Diem has played for various junior teams of the Swiss national team since the U16 . In 2014 and 2015 he took part in the U18 World Cup and in 2017 in the U20 World Cup. He also took part in the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament with the U18 national team in 2015 .
