Dave Sutter (actually Dave Ntamack ; born February 21, 1992 in Douala ) is a Swiss - Cameroonian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the ZSC Lions in the National League since the 2017/18 season .

career

Sutter was born in Cameroon as Dave Ntamack. He bears the surname Sutter as an ice hockey player to honor his stepfather.

At the age of five he moved with his mother to Monthey in the canton of Valais , and when he was nine he was on ice skates for the first time. Sutter played in the youth movement of HC Monthey , in 2007 he switched to the juniors of Genève-Servette HC . Between 2010 and 2012 he learned North American ice hockey with the Seattle Thunderbirds in the Western Hockey League before he returned to Servette.

In the 2012/13 season Sutter made his debut in the National League A for the "Adler", but played mainly with HC Red Ice in the National League B thanks to a loan agreement . In the summer of 2013 he was then firmly signed by Red Ice.

In 2014 he was signed by the NLB club HC La Chaux-de-Fonds . Thanks to a B license, he was also eligible to play for Friborg-Gottéron in the 2014/15 season and was on the ice for Freiburg in two NLA games.

For the 2015/16 season he moved to EHC Biel in the NLA and was signed by the ZSC Lions in 2017  .

National team

In February 2017 he received his first squad for the senior national team, after having already gained international experience in the U16, U17, U18 and U20 in previous years.
