Simon Bodenmann (born March 2, 1988 in Urnäsch ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who has been playing for the ZSC Lions in the Swiss National League since the 2018/19 season .

Career

Bodenmann completed his junior years at EHC Kloten . On December 19, 2006 he made his debut for the Kloten Flyers in the National League A in the game against the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers . In the following season he was used more and more and was also loaned to the EHC Winterthur . He also played games for the U20 national team, which was playing in the National League B at the time , as well as isolated games for the elite A-Juniors. In the 2008/09 season he again completed some missions for the Flyers, among other things, he was also used for the first time in a play-off game. However, he spent most of the season at HC Thurgau in the National League B. From the 2009/10 season he was an integral part of the Kloten Flyers NLA team. In the 2010/11 season he was the team's second best goalscorer behind Matthias Bieber . His contract with Kloten Flyers expired in 2015.

In August 2014 he signed a contract with SC Bern , which tied him to the club for three years from the 2015/16 season. He won the Swiss championship title with the SCB in 2016 and 2017 .

Bodenmann has been under contract with the ZSC Lions since the beginning of the 2018/19 season .

International

Simon Bodenmann played for the Swiss U18 national team at the U18 World Championships in 2006 . He also played three games for the U20 national team. On November 9, 2010, he was used for the first time in the men's national team of Switzerland. At the 2013 World Cup in Stockholm and Helsinki , he was part of the national team's World Cup squad for the first time and won the silver medal with it.
