Ilya Spektor (born April 10, 1996 ) is an Israeli ice hockey player who has been playing for HC Bat Yam in the Israeli ice hockey league since 2018 .

Career

Ilya Spektor began his career with Horses Kfar Saba , for whom he made his debut in the Israeli ice hockey league at the age of 16 . With the team from the southern Sharon Plain , he was Israeli runner-up in 2014. He then moved to the United States for the Jersey Shore Wildcats , for which he was on the ice for a year in the North American 3 Eastern Hockey League and which he and his team won in 2015. He then returned to Kfar Saba and was the top scorer in the Israeli ice hockey league in 2017 with 23 goals. In 2018 he moved to league competitor HC Bat Yam .

International

Spektor took part in the U18 World Championships in Division III 2014 with the Israeli offspring and, as the player with the best plus / minus balance, top scorer and top scorer, was also voted the best striker of the tournament. He also played for Israel in Division III at the U20 World Cup in 2016 and was the top scorer and second best scorer behind his compatriot Roey Aharonovich . At the World Cup of Division II in 2015 he made his debut in the men's national team of the Israelis and was immediately voted the best player of the team. He also played in Division II in 2016 , 2017 , when he was the top scorer with Jacob Ratcliffe and was the third best scorer of the tournament behind his compatriot Elie Klein and Ratcliffe, and in 2018 , when he was voted the best player on his team Colors in qualifying for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . Despite his young age, he has been the captain of the Israeli selection since 2016.
