The 35th ice hockey world championships of the U20 Juniors of the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF were the ice hockey world championships of 2011 in the age group of the under-20s (U20). Between December 12, 2010 and January 18, 2011, a total of 41 national teams took part in the six tournaments of the top division and divisions I to III.

For the 13th time, the world champion became the team of Russia , who defeated the record world champion from Canada 5-3 in the final . The German team could not stay in the top division without winning the tournament and was relegated again, while Switzerland took fifth place in the top division, confirming fourth place last year. Austria finished third in Group B of Division I and just barely missed the immediate return to the top division.
