Daniel Bogdziul (born February 24, 1994 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian ice hockey player who has been playing for TEV Miesbach in the Oberliga-Süd , the third-highest German league, since January 2018 .

Career

Clubs

Daniel Bogdziul began his career in the youth field at the top Latvian club HK Liepājas Metalurgs , with whose second team - the first team played in the Belarusian extra league - he became the Latvian champion in 2011, after being the top scorer and best assist provider in the Latvian U18 League was noticed. He then moved to Tampereen Ilves in Finland, where he made it up to the highest Finnish junior division. In 2013 he moved to Ukraine. There he played one year for Molodaja Gwardija Donetsk in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga , a multinational youth league . But after only one year he returned to the Baltic States and played the following season for HK Riga from the Latvian capital, also in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja League. In the 2015/16 season he was on the ice with Hasle-Løren IL in the 1st divisjon , the second highest Norwegian league, and the following year with GKS Katowice in the Polish Ekstraliga . After starting the 2017/18 season at HK Liepāja from the Latvian league , he switched to German top division team TEV Miesbach in January 2018 .

International

For Lithuania, Bogdziul took part in both the U-18 and U-20 World Cups as a 16-year-old in 2010 . While he was relegated from Division I to Division II with the younger team, he was promoted from Division II to Division I with the older team. In the following year, he not only played for the U-18 and U-20 teams. Juniors , but also for the first time in the Lithuanian men's national team at the Division I World Championship . At the U-18 World Cup, he was recognized as the best scorer and best assists in Group B of Division II. In 2012 he was also in the U-18 and U-20 juniors (this time in Division II), as well as in the men . Again he had the most scorer points and the most assists in the U-18s (this time in Group A of Division II), and he was also voted the best striker. Also in 2015 , 2016 , 2017 and 2018 , when he was the second best scorer behind his compatriot Ryō Hashimoto with his compatriots Arnoldas Bosas and Povilas Verenis as well as the Japanese Hiroto Satō , he played in Division I. He also represented his colors in the qualification for the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 and the Baltic Cup 2016.
