Arnoldas Bosas (born August 28, 1990 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Hannover Indians in the Oberliga since 2019 .

Player career

Arnoldas Bosas began his career as a hockey player at SC Energija in Elektrėnai . At the age of 18 he went to the Czech Republic , where, after playing a few games in the U20 team of Sparta Prague, he played for three years at HC Benešov in the third Czech division . After briefly returning to Lithuania, Bosas has been playing in Kazakhstan since 2011 . When he was initially on the ice at HK Arystan Temirtau , he moved to Gornjak Rudny in 2013 . After starting the 2014/15 season at HK Almaty , he moved to Orlik Opole in the Polish Ekstraliga in early 2015 . The following season he moved to Great Britain, where he was on the ice with the Sheffield Steeldogs in the English Premier Ice Hockey League . There he was voted player of the year and the league's all-star team in 2016 as the top scorer. For the 2017/18 season he was signed by the Eisbären Regensburg and became the top scorer of the Oberliga-Süd in 2018 . He then moved to EHC Bayreuth in the DEL2 . Since January 2019 he has been playing for the Hannover Indians in the Oberliga Nord.

International

In the junior division, Bosas stood for Lithuania at the U18 World Championships in 2006 , 2007 (each in Division II) and 2008 (in Division I) as well as the U20 World Championships in Division II in 2007 , 2009 and 2010 , when he was the best player on his team was chosen, or Division I 2008 on the ice.

He made his debut in the men's national team at the 2009 World Cup in Division I. Also in 2010 , 2011 , 2014 , 2015 , 2016 , 2017 and 2018 , when he was the tournament's top scorer and together with his compatriots Daniel Bogdziul and Povilas Verenis as well The Japanese Hiroto Satō was the second best scorer behind his compatriot Ryō Hashimoto was also voted the best striker of the tournament, he played with the team from the Baltic States in Division I. He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 .
