In the 2019/20 season, eleven teams belong to the Polska Hokej League. First, a preliminary round is played as a single round with a return leg. This is followed by a separate intermediate round (top 6 teams and 7th to 11th place) with the results of the preliminary round. The 6 teams in the upper round and the two best teams in the lower intermediate round will play in the play-offs for the Polish championship title. In the play-downs, the relegated player to the I league is played out in parallel .
