The 1991/92 season was the 57th season of the Polish Ice Hockey League , the highest Polish ice hockey division . Master became Unia Oświęcim for the first time in the club's history . Zagłębie Sosnowiec pulled his team back during the main round and thus rose to the 2nd division.

mode

First, the ten teams spent a common main round. The six best-placed teams qualified for the final round, whose participants all qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played off. The other four teams played a qualifying round, the top two of which also qualified for the playoffs. The results from the main round were carried over to the final or qualifying round. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
