history
Polonia Bytom's ice hockey division was established in 1946. The team was one of the strongest Ekstraliga teams, especially in the mid-1980s and early 1990s , when Polonia won the Polish championship title six times within eight years . Polonia Bytom was also able to convince at European level and reached the final tournament in the European Ice Hockey Cup in the 1984/85 season , but lost in this in all four games. In the following period, Polonia Bytom could no longer build on these successes and rose in the 2008/09 season in the second-class I league . In 2013 they were promoted to the top Polish league, from which they were relegated in 2019.
In addition to the name of the sports club, the ice hockey team has that of the sponsor Bisset , a Swiss watch brand, in the title.
