The 1998/99 season was the 64th season of the Polish Ice Hockey League , the highest Polish ice hockey division . Master was for the third time in the club's history Unia Oświęcim .

mode

First, the 14 teams spent a common main round. The six best-placed teams qualified for the final round, whose participants all qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played off. The other eight teams played a qualifying round, the first two of which also qualified for the playoffs. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
