The 1967/68 season was the 33rd season of the ice hockey league , the highest Polish ice hockey division . Champion was for the fifth time in the history of GKS Katowice . ŁKS Łódź rose to the 2nd division.

mode

The ten teams initially contested a common main round. The six best-placed teams in the main round qualified for the final round, in which the champions were played out. The other four teams played in the relegation round to avoid relegation, with the last placed in the second division. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
