The 2000/01 season was the 66th season of the Polish Ice Hockey League , the highest Polish ice hockey division . Master was for the fifth time in the club's history Unia Oświęcim .

In the main round, the eight teams played a total of 42 games. All eight teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. For a win after regular time and after overtime each team received two points, for a defeat after overtime there was one point and for a defeat after regular time zero points.
