The Turkish Ice Hockey Super League ( Turkish : Türkiye Buz Hokeyi Süper Ligi, TBHSL for short ) is the highest Turkish ice hockey league , in which the Turkish national champions have been played since 1993 . The league is organized by the Turkish ice hockey association TBHF, which is a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF .

The Turkish Super League was founded in 1993. The first championship won the Büyükşehir Belediyesi Ankara Spor Kulübü , who is also the record champion with seven titles ahead of Polis Akademisi ve Koleji with five titles won. In the 2008/09 season eight teams play in the Superliga, six of which came from the capital Ankara and one each from Istanbul and İzmit . In the 2007/08 season, Istanbul TED Koleji rose and with second division champion ABBA Spor Kulübü another team from Ankara rose. Master was for the fifth time Polis Akademisi ve Koleji, which prevailed in the final against Kocaeli Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kağıt Spor Kulübü .

A season in the Turkish Ice Hockey Super League usually lasts from December to March. In the regular season, the eight teams play against each other in a home and return game, so that each team plays 14 games. The last of the regular season is relegated to the second division and the second division champion is promoted to the super league. The first four teams qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs are played in best-of-three mode. The team better placed at the end of the regular season has home rights first.
