history

In the summer of 2009, when it was SK LSPA / Riga playing U20 team of SK Riga dissolved in the KHL club Dinamo Riga incorporated and Dinamo-Juniors Riga renamed. In addition, the squad was replenished with players from HK Riga 2000 , which had previously gone bankrupt and until then had acted as Dinamo's farm team. The juniors initially took part in the Belarusian open championship and became Latvian champions in 2010.

In 2010 there was a further restructuring of the farm team. This was renamed HK Riga and included in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja League (MHL). The players of the new MHL team were mainly recruited from SK Riga 18 , which had previously participated in the Latvian ice hockey league. In 2011 another junior team was reported for the second division of the MHL. This was called HK Juniors Riga and played in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga B between 2011 and 2013 .
