Anže Kuralt (born October 31, 1991 in Kranj ) is a Slovenian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Alba Volán Székesfehérvár in the Austrian ice hockey league since 2018 .

Career

Anže Kuralt comes from the offspring of HK Triglav Kranj and went through all junior teams there. In 2009 he moved to EC Salzburg , with whom he took part in the U20 league and won their championship in 2010. After this success he was obliged by HK Jesenice from the Austrian ice hockey league , for which he scored 10 scorer points in 51 games in his rookie season. He was also used in the Slovenian championship , which his team won at the end of the season. In the following season he was also active in the EBEL and increased his points, but after the end of the season the club went bankrupt. Therefore, Kuralt returned to his hometown club, for which he was active in the newly formed Inter-National League . In January 2013 he moved to the Herning Blue Fox in Denmark before he was signed by the Image Club d'Épinal from the Ligue Magnus in August 2013 . With the team from the Vosges he became French runner-up in 2015. In 2016 he moved to league rivals Grenoble Métropole Hockey 38 .

International

In the junior division, Kuralt played for Slovenia at the U18 World Championships in 2008 (Division I) and 2009 (Division II) and the U20 World Championships in 2010 and 2011 (each in Division I).

On January 6, 2014 Kuralt was nominated for the Olympic squad of the Slovenian men's national team for the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi , although he had not previously gained any international tournament experience in the senior sector. Even if he was not used at the Winter Games, he was also nominated for the 2014 World Cup , in which the Slovenes played in Division I. In the game against Hungary he scored his first World Cup goal with the goal to make it 2-0. Also in 2016 and 2018 he played in Division I. After promotion in 2016, he played in the top division at the 2017 World Cup . He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the 2018 Winter Olympics and the Games in Pyeongchang itself.

Inline hockey

In 2013 Kuralt took part in the Inline Hockey World Championship in Dresden with the Slovenian national inline hockey team.
