Slovenian champion (ice hockey)
The Slovenian Ice Hockey League has been held since 1991. So far, three different clubs have won the title: HDD Olimpija Ljubljana (15 times), HK Jesenice (nine times) and HDD Jesenice . From the 2007/08 season, HDD Olimpija Ljubljana plays in the Austrian Ice Hockey League EBEL and only took part in the Slovenian Championship from the playoff semi-finals or the final round. HK Jesenice played in the EBEL from 2006 to 2012 and therefore only took part in the finals of the Slovenian ice hockey league. From 2012 the HK Slavija Ljubljana and HK Triglav played in the INL and also only entered the playoffs in Slovenia. In 2014, instead of HK Triglav, the team Jesenice, also playing in the INL, only took part from the playoffs.
Since 2014, all teams have also taken part in the main round of the Slovenian championship.
