The 2010/11 season of the Slovenian ice hockey league took place after the second edition of the international ice hockey competition of the Slohokej league and was therefore held in a shortened form. The defending champion and new champion was HK Jesenice , who won the 32nd championship title in the club's history.
Participant field and mode
After the end of the Slohokej League, the Slovenian ice hockey league began on March 18, 2011. Some of the Slovenian participants in the Slohokej Liga and the two clubs HK Jesenice and HDD Olimpija Ljubljana , who had previously played in the Austrian ice hockey league, were divided into two groups and played a simple round trip against each other. The two group winners and runners-up then met to determine the Slovenian champion and third place.
Basic round
As expected, the regular round was dominated by the two EBEL clubs, neither of which lost a game and clearly prevailed. The placements of the other four clubs roughly reflected their performance in the Slohokej League.
