Marc Cavosie (born August 6, 1981 in Albany , New York ) is an American ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Tōhoku Free Blades in the Asia League Ice Hockey since October 2013 .
Career
Cavosie began his career with the ice hockey team of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the National Collegiate Athletic Association , where he always ran up with his brother Eric . During his college years he was by the Minnesota Wild drafted , but denied a single game for them. Instead, he became one of the fixed team players of the Houston Eros in the American Hockey League , which he left after three years and moved to the Philadelphia Phantoms . In the 2006/07 season he dared the leap to Europe for the first time and signed a contract with Rögle BK , who were playing in the second highest Swedish league, the Allsvenskan , at the time. However, he did not find his form there and only had six assists in 27 missions.
In the following three years he moved between several teams in the American minor leagues before he was signed by the Slovenian club HK Jesenice in the summer of 2010 . There he completed a season and then signed with the Ōji Eagles from the Asia League Ice Hockey , where he was on the ice for two seasons.
In the preparatory phase of the 2013/14 season Cavosie worked for the Bietigheim Steelers , but did not know how to please, was therefore not licensed and consequently did not complete a single competitive game for the Steelers. In addition to a minor injury, this was the main reason why the Steelers' contract with Cavosie was terminated at the end of September 2013 and he was replaced by Patrick Asselin . Cavosie, who therefore had to look for a new club, signed again in the Asia League Ice Hockey, this time with the Tōhoku Free Blades .
International
Cavosie also played a U20 World Cup for the USA team and was the team's fourth-best scorer with six points from seven games.
