history

HK MK Bled was founded on July 8th, 1999, initially only a few junior teams were run. This happened with great success: in the short time since the club was founded, the team has won the title of Slovenian youth champions three times. In the 2005/06 season, HK MK Bled competed for the first time in the then Carinthian League at the invitation of the Carinthian Ice Hockey Association and was able to advance straight away to the final, where the team was defeated by ESC Steindorf . This was repeated the following year, this time the team lost to a junior team from the EC VSV .

Between 2007 and 2009 the club was also represented with a senior team in the Slovenian ice hockey league. The team was able to qualify for the play-offs in both game years. The club then took part in the Slohokej League until 2011 .
