The 2009/10 season was the first edition of the international ice hockey competition of the Slohokej League and was played with a total of ten teams. Teams from four countries - Slovenia , Croatia , Serbia and Austria - took part in the championship, who determined their own champions before the respective national leagues were held. A mode with three rounds in the basic round was played, after which the best eight teams qualified for the playoffs. The first champion was the HDK Stavbar Maribor .
