The 2005/06 season was the 15th season of the Slovenian Ice Hockey League , the highest Slovenian ice hockey league . Champion was for the fifth time in the history of the HK Jesenice .

mode

The ten teams were divided into two groups in the main round. All three teams in Group I and the first in Group II qualified for the final round, the two first-placed teams in the playoff final for the championship title, while the other two teams in the final round played for third place. The other four Slovenian teams played against each other for fifth place, while the two Croatian visiting teams only competed against their opponents from Group II and did not take part in the second phase of the season. According to their main round placement, the teams received bonus points in the second phase of the season. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
