The HK Kranjska Gora (also HK HIT Casino Kranjska Gora ) was a Slovenian ice hockey club from Kranjska Gora , which played in the Slovenian ice hockey league until 2006 and was then dissolved.
history
The club was founded in 1961 and qualified a year later for participation in the Yugoslav ice hockey league . This top division in the country belonged to the club with two short interruptions until 1988, before financial problems prevented further participation. Because of this situation, the association entered into a partnership with the neighboring HK Jesenice , for which the farm team ran the youth work.
From the 1996/97 season , the club again provided a first team to take part in the Slovenian ice hockey league. In 2003 the association was able to win a new main sponsor with the HIT Casinos , which are located in Kranjska Gora, so that the association was renamed HK HIT Casino Kranjska Gora . During the 1998/99 season , HK Jesenice had financial problems, which prompted its management to found its own club for youth work, today's HD mladi Jesenice .
After the 2005/06 season , the HK HIT Casino Kranjska Gora finally stopped gaming operations and was dissolved.
