Rok Pajič (born September 26, 1985 in Jesenice , SR Slovenia ) is a Slovenian ice hockey player who has been playing the right winger at HC České Budějovice in the 1st Czech league since January 2014 . His father Murajica was also a professional ice hockey player.

Career

Pajič began his career at HK Kranjska Gora , for whom he played in the Slovenian ice hockey league at the age of 15 . In the summer of 2002 he finally moved to IHC Písek in the Czech Republic for a year . There he was used in the U20 juniors, also after his move to Bílí Tygři Liberec . Pajič was under contract in Liberec until 2006. In addition to his debut in the Extraliga in the 2004/05 season for Liberec, he was loaned out to second and third division clubs on several occasions. So he ran at this time for HC Berounští Medvědi and HC Vrchlabí , with whom he was able to win the third-class 2nd division . Berounští finally signed the Slovenes permanently in 2006. The engagement ended after only one year and he played from 2007 for two seasons in Vrchlabí.

In the summer of 2009 his next position followed when he moved to HC Slovan Ústečtí Lvi . He also played a few games for BK Mladá Boleslav . With Ústečtí Lvi he celebrated the runner-up title in the 1st division in 2010 , to which he made a significant contribution as the top scorer of the playoffs. A year later, they won the championship, with the team failing in seven games against Mladá Boleslav in relegation to the extra league. After spending the 2012/13 season in Italy, he moved to Scotland for the Fife Flyers in the summer of 2013 , which he left in December of the same year to join HC Bozen , for which he played in the Austrian ice hockey league played. Although he was only used there seven times, he contributed a little to the league's win with six assists ( EC Red Bull Salzburg were Austrian champions as runners-up in the league because Bozen, as a foreign club, could not win the national championship). In January 2014 he was drawn to HC České Budějovice and thus back to the second highest Czech league called the " 1st League ".

International

Pajič represented his home country Slovenia in the junior as well as the senior sector. For the U18 juniors he played at the World Championships in Division I in 2002 and 2003 . In the senior squad he was in the top division at the 2006 , 2008 , 2011 and 2013 World Championships . In 2012 he started with the Slovenes in Division I and was able to gain immediate promotion back to the top division. He also represented his colors at the qualifying tournament for the 2014 Winter Olympics , in which the Slovenes were able to qualify for the Games in Sochi.
