The HC Vrchlabí was a Czech ice hockey club from Vrchlabí , which played between 2007 and 2011 in the second-rate first division .

history

The ice hockey department of the TJ Stadion Vrchlabí was founded in 1948 and played only on a regional level until the 1990s.

The home games of the section were played from 1977 in the completed Zimní Stadium Vrchlabí , an open ice stadium. In 1997, a pure ice hockey club emerged from the TJ Stadium , which has been called HC Vrchlabí ever since. In 2000, planning began for a roof over the stadium. In 2002 the roof was completed and the renovation of the technical facilities was completed. Since then, the ice rink has held a total of 3000 spectators, which is now called DD Elektromont Aréna after the main sponsor . From 2005, the club's first team played in the third-tier 2nd division and made it to the playoffs in the first season. A year later she was able to celebrate the championship of the division and rose to the first division.

When the main sponsor of the DD Elektromont association withdrew in summer 2011, the association went bankrupt. The HC Stadion Vrchlabí was then founded to continue the local ice hockey sport , but it only takes part in the regional amateur championship.
