The IHC Písek is a Czech ice hockey club from Písek . He has been in the third division of the Czech Republic, the 2nd division , since 2013 .

history

The Sportovní klub Písek started playing in 1924 and belonged to the top division of Czechoslovakia, the then Státní league , in the 1937/38 season .

In the 1970s and 1980s the club played mostly in the 1st ČNHL or 2nd ČNHL .

In 1990 TJ Jitex Písek merged with VTJ Písek . The VTJ Písek, formerly also known as Dukla Písek or Dukla Jihlava B, was an army club until the early 1990s. In 1994, with the championship title of the 2nd division , the team made it to the 1st division , where they played until 2005. In the 1996/97 season she also achieved third place in the first division, the best placement in the club's history. 2005 followed with the 14th place the descent from the second to the third division.

In 2010, the IHC Písek rose as the season winner in the first division and stayed in this division for three years. In 2013, the club rose again from the second to the third division.

Venue

In 1965 the Zimní Písek , an open ice rink, was opened. In 1973 the ice rink was covered. The ice rink was renovated in the 1990s and renamed the snop arena Písek in 2007 .

Due to one of the main sponsors, the hall was called Komterm Arena from 2009 .
