Scott Timmins (born September 11, 1989 in Hamilton , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Fehérvár AV19 in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League since 2019 .
Career
Scott Timmins began his career as a hockey player with the Burlington Cougars, for which he was active in the 2005/06 season in the Canadian Junior League Ontario Junior Hockey League . He then played for four years in the top junior league Ontario Hockey League , in which he was on the ice for the Kitchener Rangers and the Windsor Spitfires . With the Kitchener Rangers he won the J. Ross Robertson Cup , the OHL championship title, in the 2007/08 season . He was able to repeat this success in the seasons 2008/09 and 2009/10 with the Windsor Spitfires, where he also won the Memorial Cup , the final tournament for the championship of the Canadian Hockey League , with the Spitfires .
During his time in the OHL, Timmins was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2009 in the sixth round as a total of 165th player by the Florida Panthers . For their farm team at the time, Rochester Americans from the American Hockey League , he scored ten goals and twelve assists in 45 games in the 2010/11 season . He also ran in 19 games for the Florida Panthers himself in the National Hockey League and scored one goal. For the 2011/12 season, the Canadian moved to Florida's new AHL farm team, San Antonio Rampage .
