The 2007-08 OHL season was the 28th season of the Ontario Hockey League . The regular season began on September 19, 2007 and ended on March 16, 2008. The play-offs started on March 20, 2008 and ended with the Kitchener Rangers' fourth J. Ross Robertson Cup win on May 12, 2008 who prevailed against the Belleville Bulls in the OHL final .

On 18 February 2008, died captain of the Windsor Spitfires , Mickey Renaud , on a hypertrophic cardiomyopathy . Since the 2008/09 OHL season , the Mickey Renaud Captain's Trophy has been awarded in his memory , which is given annually to the most exemplary captain of all OHL teams. The first winner of the trophy was Chris Terry of the Plymouth Whalers .

Team changes

The Mississauga IceDogs moved from Mississauga , Ontario to St. Catharines , Ontario and were henceforth called Niagara IceDogs . The Toronto St. Michael's Majors took the place of the Mississauga IceDogs and renamed themselves Mississauga St. Michael's Majors .
