The 2015/16 OHL season was the 36th season of the Ontario Hockey League . The regular season began on September 24, 2015 and ended on March 20, 2016, winning the Hamilton Spectator Trophy by the Erie Otters . In the subsequent playoffs, the London Knights secured their fourth J. Ross Robertson Cup on May 11, 2016 .
Changes
As part of a major American Hockey League reorganization, the Hamilton Bulldogs AHL franchise moved to St. John's . In this breath, the Belleville Bulls were relocated to Hamilton and operate there as the Hamilton Bulldogs in the OHL. In addition, the Plymouth Whalers moved to Flint (Michigan) and operate there as Flint Firebirds .
