The 2001/02 OHL season was the 22nd season of the Ontario Hockey League . The regular season began on September 15, 2001 and ended on March 17, 2002. The play-offs started on March 21, 2002 and ended with the Erie Otters winning the J. Ross Robertson Cup for the first time on May 10, 2002 who prevailed against the Barrie Colts in the OHL final .

Best scorer

Nathan Robinson of the Belleville Bulls led the OHL scorer list with 110 points . His strike partners Mike Renzi and Jason Spezza , who had been transferred to Belleville from the Windsor Spitfires during the season, also broke the 100-point mark . Miguel Delisle scored the most hits with 55 hits , while Zenon Konopka had the best result in assistant (68). In the plus / minus rating, Darryl Bootland led with a value of +48. The most power play goals were scored by Miguel Delisle, who scored 19 times in the majority. Outnumbered Dusty Jamieson was most successful with eight goals. With 268 penalty minutes, Cam Janssen was the bad guy this season. Kevin Dallman was the most successful defender with 63 assists and 86 points. Patrick O'Sullivan was the most successful rookie with 92 points .
