Dan Snyder Memorial Trophy

The Dan Snyder Memorial Trophy is an ice hockey trophy that is awarded annually by the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) to those OHL players who have distinguished themselves through special social or community engagement. The award was first given in the 1992/93 season. Originally awarded as the Humanitarian of the Year Trophy , the trophy was named in 2004 after Dan Snyder , a former Owen Sound Platers player , who died in October 2003 as a result of a road accident .
