Eddie Powers Memorial Trophy

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Eddie Powers Memorial Trophy is an award from the Ontario Hockey League . It has been awarded annually to the OHL player with the best points since the end of the 1945/46 season. The statistics of the best scorer have been kept since the 1934/35 season, but the associated trophy was only introduced eleven years later. The trophy winner has also had the chance to win the CHL Top Scorer Award since 1994 .

The award was donated by the Toronto Marlboro Athletic Club in memory of Eddie Powers . It corresponds to the Bob Clarke Trophy of the Western Hockey League and the Trophée Jean Béliveau of the Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec .
